I’ll be at AbleCine tomorrow (Tuesday June 8th) to show-and-tell about a very cool workflow I have been using on a lot of award shows lately: Edit-While-Recording: Live Multicam in Premiere Pro. I’ll present a demo with 8 cameras feeding a MacPro with Softron’s M|80 Movie Recorder and edit it live while recording in Premiere Pro.

Alexis Van Hurkman will also be there to demo the new Resolve 12.

Mitch will demo for us the Softron M|80 Movie Recorder with Deltacast 8-SDI Thunderbolt capture system for editing with Adobe PremierePro CC 2014. We’ll have 8 SDI sources connected to his MacPro via the Softron and edit while ingesting live.

Blackmagic Design announced DaVinci Resolve 12 at NAB 2015 complete with full NLE capabilities, multicam, new tracking options and improved performance. Blackmagic is sending us Alexis van Hurkman to demo this major update. Alexis has presented to us in the past and is not only a noted colorist and DaVinci trainer, he also writes the program’s documentation. This is a rare opportunity to hear from a major expert. Let’s pack the house.
